Warm wishes to you this April! March certainly was filled with madness, and not only in basketball. The biggest story of the month was the use of Facebook data by firms during the election. This data was gathered via an unassuming quiz, where contestants gave permission for the quiz to see their friends' information. The result - 50 million peoples' information became available for highly targeted marketing.

In tech history...ENIAC
Let's do a little flip over from the last article - a 10 cent computer that fits on your finger tip.....vs.........
Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania begin work on the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC), which when completed, will become the first general-purpose fully electronic computer, capable of making calculations one thousand times faster than any other prior computer. The work will be carried out in secret since the computer is intended for military purposes, though it won’t actually be completed until after World War II ended. ENIAC will be unveiled to the public in February 1946.

10,000 capacitors
1,500 relays
6,000 manual switches
5 million soldered joints.

160 kilowatts power consumed
Memory = 83 bytes (20 10-digit numbers)
